Here We Go Again!
Hey Y´all! The new semester has fired up its engines and finished Round 1 of 14 already! Hope everyone had a great summer holiday and is all geared up for what´s to come.
Speaking of what´s to come, I´ve got news for ya: City Race is just around the corner!
For all of you who have just started off at POTE, the City Race is one of the biggest events of the semester, if not the year! Groups of students spanning all ages and origins form groups that wander through and around the city from one of many stations, set up by the 4th years, to the next, completing fun and alcoholic games as theyx go along. Points are docked for each group based on its performance and a winner is declared by the end of the festivities/ at the afterparty.
Trust me, it´s a whole lotta fun you don´t want to miss! Details will be provided on here as the week rolls on, so stay tuned to the bulletin for more information!
Wishing y´all a good week 2 in the halls n rooms of POTE!

ETR Grand Opening
Hey y´all,
The ETR will open its virtual gates for exam registrations on Saturday, May 9th, at 8.00 o´clock in the morning! I know this is within reasonable weekend wake-up range, so don´t be surprised if the ETR doesn´t let you log in, or only runs very slowly. Furthermore, I warn you; experiences of fellow students have shown that the more students are on the ETR, the more likely the system is to mess up your dates, so your choices are to either be patient and wait an hour or so before logging on, or dare to navigate the crowded ETR. I strongly suggest making screenshots whenever you register for an exam, as the departments show no mercy if you´re booked incorrectly, unless you have physical proof that you signed up for anotehr exam and that the ETR misinformed you. The Exam Period is upon us,folks, but I´m sure you´ve collected strong enough an arsenal of knowledge and smarts throughout the semester to emerge from your battles victorious!

New Mods under the Hood...
Hey guys,
You might not notice straight away, but there have been major modifications and updates made to the website, which, though not immediately apparent, are sure to help you navigate and use the website in an easier fashion! Go check it out

On another note, I am still looking for someone who has experience with internet forums to help me set up a new chat forum for the website, so let me know if you´d like to help out!
As for the photo albums, I can´t really make one if you don´t send me pics...
No More August Exam Period! Info about Summer Courses
Hey guys!
As you may have heard, EGSC employed a lawyer to investigate into the matters concerning August Exam Period, and this is what came out: The Universities still implementing August Exam Period are acting illegally, against explicit rules put down by a reform bill last year that was written up by the Ministry of Education. The August Exam Period is ILLEGAL, which is why POTE will no longer offer it. EGSC Presidents Livingston and Zuhorn, along with many other helpers, gave their best to bring it back, but with a law officially outlawing the AEP, there is no hope left.
Here´s some good news, though
Both the Biochemistry and Medical Chemistry Dept.s are offering Saturday school for students that failed 1st Semester Chem or Biochem. The courses start March 21st, so make sure you sign up in time! Furthermore, things are in motion to have summer courses in the same subjects,so that you can avoid trailing behind a year by passing Chem/ Biochem 1 on Saturday School, and taking Chem/ Biochem 2 during the summer. Sound good? Is good!
check with the Depts for more information!
That´s all folks...for now
!THANK YOU!
The party is over, the guests have left, the food eaten up,and the Aula is cleaned up; IE09 has come to a successful end. In fact it was successful enough to even be featured in the Pécs newspapers!
At this point, the English German Student Council and I would like to thank all of you who came, who cooked, danced, partied and represented your countries in as colorful a way as it has never before been seen at POTE! The event was an absolute success, albeit a few hiccups here and there concerning electricity and amplifiers, thanks to all of you who showed up. You made the event the great party that it was. Thanks!
P.S.: I know facebook is the primary site to put up pics, however I would like to start a photo section on this website to show pics from the many events held at our university. So please, if you have some pics you would like to see put up, e-mail them to me under the e-mail address you can find here. Thanks!
