International Evening Update!!
Hey guys!
The EGSC and the volunteers for the different tables at the International Evening had a get together a few hours ago to talk about how this event is going to go down. I´m going to give you a brief summary of good-to-know info that was passed around tonight and alert you to some things that are up to you to take care of. I know the event is two weeks out, but we are expecting 800 people to attend,so we need to make sure this goes down like clockwork:
- in the days before the Event, take some time during your breaks to pay some attention to your surroundings. See any litter,empty bottles,cups, general trash? Be so kind to throw it away,so we can get the university as clean and presentable as possible for the International EveningHappy

- We urge each of you to get together with some friends and to think of some kind of short performance that you could put on stage at the Evening to show off something typical about your country and to entertain the hundreds of people that are going to attend this event. Last event was an absolute blast in this category, so lets see if we can keep that up, or even get better Laugh If you have an idea and would like to perform, contact Greta on her cell: 06-70-223-4846

-TICKETS: for food and drinks will go on sale Tuesday in the German and English Reigstrars Offices. They cost 400 Forints each. Do not wait to the last moment to get them, they`ll be going faster than ice cream on a Hungarian summer day! Remember that entry to the International Evening is 100% F-R-E-E!

- Cafe Lemen is going to set up a cocktail bar on the 1st floor to provide you with drinks that night. Furthermore, there will be a separate drink bar in the Aula, and possibly even a Beer Bar outside on the campus lawn!

- All money made in this Event goes to the EGSC to fund further projects and events during the semester.

Study Year 2008/2009, Part II; International Evening Heads-Up
Hey guys!
Hope y´all made it through the winter exam period alright! To those that didn´t; Keep your heads up, it´s not the end of the world, no matter how much they want you to believe it is Winking
Let´s get started into the new semester with some important news about the International Evening, arguably the biggest event of the semester;
EGSC has been contacting embassies far and wide, extending invitations to any nation that has a citizen studying here. We´re expecting feedback to be rolling in soon, and I´ll let you know who´s surely/ mabye / not so sure/ surely not coming.
Though it may seem important to invite as many ambassadors as possible, it´s not the most important task, which rests with you;
EGSC is still in desperate need of volunteer students to set up and run tables at the International Evening on February 21st!! It´s a lot of fun to do, especially when you get a group of friends together to run your own tableHappy
The expenses for the foodstuffs you need to prepare your typical home country meals will be covered fully/ to a large extent by the EGSC. I have no details as to how much we´ll be able to help you out, but we will soon specify these things when we hold our next meeting this or next week. Again, without you, the International Evening cannot function. So get your cell phone,text your friends(preferably from the same nation) and let George Hayek, George Abuelkair or any EGSC member know that you´d like to run a table!
Stay tuned to this website for further information, until then, Study Hard!
