Update: International Evening
08.11.04 01:10
To All
International Students of the Medical
School:
International Evening 2009 will take place on Saturday, February 21st in the POTE Aula!
It may seem far away, but in reality it's not when you consider the amount of organizing required for such a grand event.
One of our first steps in organizing is to gather students who are interested in representing their country*. We have over 30 countries represented in the English and German programmes and ideally we have at least one person from each participating!
If YOU want to represent your country* then please contact George Abuelkhair (2nd year) of the EGSC as soon as possible. He will tell you if someone has already signed up for your country, or will tell you when other people from your country want to sign up to help. This way, we help you form small teams for each country.

*What does it mean to "represent your country"?
It means you will cook food for 600 people, decorate your table, and give us pictures of your country. You can have several people helping you, of course. This is a way to show off unique foods and express the essence of your country.
Last year, the Iranian embassy brought their personal chef to prepare food
Which is another
point: We can help you contact your
embassy and they may assist you in preparing for
the evening with food, decorations, or
money.
We are gathering country reps now because you can think about what to bring from home during the Christmas break.
Who pays for it?
Your student council. We will give each country representative a sum of money to buy food and decorations for his/her country. Details later...
