From this semester for the exam chance formerly known as Dean's exam (D chance) you can apply like this:
- please bring your gradebook with you (we have to check past permissions)
- at the Registrar's Office you have to fill in a form (read the rules, give name, username (EHA), subject and the date you wish to take the exam on)
The RO checks if you had been given this permission in the past. If not, a sticker will be put in your gradebook, and your name will be put on the exam date in the ETR. The D chance is conducted under the same circumstances as the other exams in that subject, and you can only apply for the available spots within the deadline.
Exam fee is 3.500 HUF and is to be paid at the cashier before the exam.
Please read Article 14 in the Code of Studies and Examinations about law of equity before submitting the application.
As you may know: A and B chance exams are for free, but you have to pay for C chances.
If it is a semester exam the amount is 3500 HUF, if the exam is a final exam the C chance costs 7000 HUF.
Payments are done *at the cashier* (see attached "map"). Since the cashier does not really speak English, we created a little note that you can take with you (you can ask for one at the Registrar's Office). Please fill in your EHA (username) and name - and mark the line referring to the fee you are paying.
Payments must be done *before *the exam because the examiner can (should) ask for a proof of paying the C chance fee. *Take the payment slip with you to the exam*, and when you return your gradebook to the Registrar's Office at the end of the exam period please leave the slip in the gradebook.
Please let your classmates know this.

The Biology Department informed us that requests for extra spots for the Molecular Cell Biology exams will not be accepted. Please let your groupmates know this.
Sorry, guys.

Happy 2007 to all of
you. Here are some more news fom the Register's
Office.
Hi!
It seems the ETR Central found a *new way to replace
lost passwords* - so students do not have to come in
to the RO and walk to the post office with a yellow
cheque and come back again.
)
In case you lost your password (or it doesn't work)
you can ask for a new one ONLINE the following way:
on the *ETR login site* (https://www.tr.pte.hu/ -
before you give the username and password), under the
BELÉP button you find a text '*Elfelejtettem a
jelszavamat*' (which means "I forgot my password") -
click on it!
On the page loaded the following text appears: " Ha
elfelejtette a jelszavát..."
The translation is: If you lost your password please
give your EHA code (username), and the e-mail address
stored in the ETR. In case you previously activated
the Online password claim function and you now you
give the correct e-mail address, a password generated
automatically will be sent to the e-mail address
stored. You can activate the new password by clicking
the link in the mail received."
Then give your *username* in the above box and the
*e-mail address* stored in the ETR in the second box.
Press "*Igénylés*"
Check your mailbox soon for the new password!
How to check your e-mail address in ETR
- on the orange line on the top of the screen press
"My etr"
- in the Options menu click on "Addresses"
How to allow the system the online password claim
function
- in Options menu click on "Personal settings"
- there are 13 lines, the last one says: "Online
jelszóigénylés engedélyezése": tick the first box
- press OK
Good luck to all, and have a cheerful, pleasant 2007!
